Little Hands Preschool & Daycare Centre was established in 2021 to provide quality early childhood care and education emphasizing on 21^stcentury learning skills.

We believe that a child’s mind is most active at early age and the right learning methods will allow to unlock and maximize the potentials in every child. This inspired us to establish a Centre integrating STEM education and Montessori approach that encourages hands-on exploration and cognitive skills.

We strive to provide a platform to young learners to explore and develop an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

PRESCHOOL

Our preschool program is designed to provide a platform for children to express themselves and explore the world. Their curiosity fuels the creativity and stimulate their cognitive skills.

Our curriculum is an integration of Montessori approach and STEM education which emphasizes on wholesome development. Our aim is to bring out the full potential and “SMART” qualities hidden in a child.

We strive to assist children in preparation for academic demands of primary school while building character. Please refer to preschool curriculum for more details.

DAYCARE

The biggest challenge faced by working parents today is the welfare of their precious little tots when they are away working. Safe environment and nutritious food is always the top priority of any parents.

At Little Hands, we provide a safe and secure environment for children to freely explore and enjoy their childhood. Our friendly and experienced team will be readily available to assist the child in developing their social and interpersonal skills.

Children learn through play and play to learn. As such, we also provide age-appropriate activities to assist children build self- confidence and develop their leadership skills. Besides structured and assisted learning, children also need some quiet time. This quiet time is essential to allow children process, understand and solidify new information learnt for the day. Understanding the need for and importance of this, we provide a supervised quiet time to children.

Nutrition is another important aspect in children’s physical and mental development. Having this in mind, we prepare our balanced and healthy lunch and snacks fresh daily.

AFTER SCHOOL CARE

We at Little Hands strongly believe that family bond is the most valuable gift for a child. As we understand the growing need for both parents to work, family time is mostly pushed to weekends while weekdays are focused on school homework and chores.

Children at lower primary school aged 7 – 9 years old are mostly dependent on their parents in adapting to school life. But with both parents working, challenges and tension is bound to build.

At Little Hands, we provide quality care and set a conducive environment for children to rest after school. Our team will be assisting children with their homework so once home, both child and parents can spend quality family time. We also understand parents concern on children’s cleanliness and meals after spending hours in school.

Our dedicated team will ensure the children are showered and enjoy a balanced and healthy meals & snacks that are prepared fresh daily. We will also provide recreational activities for children to wind down after a long day at school.

We strive to create a healthy and quality after school care for lower primary children who are still in the midst of transition and adapting school environment.

Montessori Approach
STEM Education

Curriculum at Little Hands is inspired by children’s curiosity that often motivates them to explore and experiment. We believe that both Montessori and STEM education benefits are able to unlock children’s full potential. Integration of Montessori approach and STEM concepts & its application focuses on 3 key areas: Critical Thinking, Self- Discovery and Active learning. The spirit of this integration is to stimulate the curious minds of the young learners and allow them to explore, analyze and learn to apply logical & critical thinking in solving problems.

OUR PARTNER

We collaborated with ALFA and Friends (745426-P), a leading provider of STEM-focused preschool education program to incorporate STEM education suitable to preschoolers.

Little Scientist program is an age appropriate exploration and play based program to engage young minds in the wonderment of the world around them. Focusing on 6 knowledge domains : Life science, Chemical science, Physical science, Earth science, Space science and Scientific inquiry, children will be exposed to critical thinking, analytical skills and hands-on scientific skills.

Euler Maths program prepares young children’s early exposure to basic maths topics, ie. numbers, money, fraction, measurement, and geometry, and ensures their readiness toward learning higher mathematical concepts. We aim to assist young children to build up early mathematical concepts and skills through purposeful play and experiential learning.
